Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before your first stroll.
Getting started
Who is Stroll for?
Stroll is built for healthy, active seniors (ages 60–85) who want a reliable, social way to stay active — and for the adult children and caregivers who want peace of mind. If your parent wants to get out more but you can't always be there to walk with them, Stroll is designed exactly for that.
How do I sign up?
Enrollment takes just a few minutes online. You'll share your pickup address, pace preference, and any mobility or health notes.
How quickly can I start walking?
Once you enroll and are matched with a Guide, your first walk can often be scheduled within the same week depending on availability in your area.
What is pre-activation, and why might I wait?
After you join, your area goes through a short formation period while we gather enough nearby members to run a reliable route and match a Guide. You are not on the sidelines alone — we batch interest by neighborhood so groups can start together. How long it takes depends on demand where you live; our team will tell you what to expect and notify you when walks are ready to schedule.
Can a family member sign up on behalf of a parent?
Coming soonYes. Caregiver enrollment is fully supported. You'll set up your parent's profile, share their preferences, and choose how you'd like to receive updates after each walk.
The walks
What is a Brisk Stroll vs. a Soft Stroll?
Coming soonA Brisk Stroll is a higher-energy, faster-paced stroll for seniors who want a real workout with great company. A Soft Stroll is a relaxed, conversational pace — gentle movement with a focus on connection. You choose which style fits you during enrollment.
How many people are in a group?
Groups are capped at 4 walkers. Small enough for every member to receive personal attention from the Guide and form real connections with each other.
How long is each stroll?
Each Stroll is one hour, with a 30 minute window before and after the stroll to allow for pickup and drop off.
What is the sweet treat at the end?
After every stroll, Stroll provides a signature sweet treat — it's a small ritual that turns a health routine into something everyone looks forward to. It also creates a social moment for the group before heading home.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Guides always have a rain plan. If outdoor conditions are unsafe, your Guide will contact you in advance. Your safety comes first — walks are never conducted in unsafe conditions.
Is this right for someone with limited mobility?
For the safety of our members and the consistency of our group pace, Stroll Walking Club™ is designed for seniors who can navigate varied outdoor terrain independently and without the use of mobility aids (such as walkers, wheelchairs, or canes).
Safety & Guides
How are Guides vetted?
Every Stroll Guide undergoes a thorough background check and must be CPR certified before leading walks. Guides are trained on senior mobility awareness, emergency protocols, and route safety.
Will my parent always have the same Guide?
Yes — consistency is a core part of Stroll. You're matched with a Guide who knows your pace, preferences, and routine. The goal is a familiar face every week, not a rotating stranger.
What happens in an emergency during a walk?
Guides carry emergency contact information for every walker and are trained to respond calmly and quickly. Stroll has defined incident reporting and escalation procedures. Families are notified promptly if anything occurs.
Is Stroll insured?
Yes. Stroll carries comprehensive insurance including General Liability, Participant Liability and Auto Liability - all designed for senior service operations.
Pricing & membership
How much does Stroll cost?
Memberships start at $240/mo (monthly) with discounts for Quarterly ($200/mo). All plans include two strolls per week, door-to-door pickup and caregiver updates.
Is there a way to try Stroll before committing to a membership?
Yes — our Day Pass lets you join one stroll for $30. No membership required. It's a great way to meet your Guide, try a stroll style, and see if Stroll is right for you. Groups are capped at 4 walkers, so every member gets real personal attention.
What's included in a membership?
Every membership includes two group strolls per week (eight per month), door-to-door pickup, a matched Guide, caregiver attendance updates, and a signature sweet treat after every stroll.
When will I be charged?
We may keep a card on file when you enroll. Recurring membership billing usually begins once your membership is active and strolls are underway — often aligned with your first scheduled stroll — not the moment you submit the form. While we finalize checkout in the product, our team will confirm exact charge timing with you so there are no surprises.
Where is the cancellation policy?
We maintain a public Cancellation & refund policy page (placeholder until launch). Your cancellation window and how to pause or end membership are also explained during enrollment and in your membership agreement.
Can I cancel or pause my membership?
Yes. Stroll has a clear cancellation window. Details are provided during enrollment and in your membership agreement. For a readable summary while we finalize launch copy, see the Cancellation & refund policy page.
Still have questions?
Stroll is locally operated with real people you can reach. We're not a faceless app.
